Finding Duracell Coupons
Why Batteries Are so Expensive
Duracell is indeed an expensive brand in the battery market. Between them and Energizer, the two leading brands, they command a premium price since they have brand recognition and offer a higher quality product. For example, Duracell is committed to preserving the environment even in the battery business which, for years, has been plagued with a use & throw away mentality. What makes this worse is that older disposable batteries actually contained mercury and other extremely toxic substances.
In the past few years with the huge green movement, Duracell and other name brand battery manufacturers have removed the mercury and other harmful substances. While this indeed did a great service to mother earth, it has also risen battery prices. This is because these less friendly contents were cheaper than their counterparts, which is why they were used in the first place. Since removing them, it has made batteries safer, yet also more expensive.
The Coupon Part
Because of this jump in prices, it is even more important to try to save money on Duracell batteries. Coupons are the most traditional way of this, and there are a large number of ways that they can be obtained from both online and traditional offline sources. You may already be familiar with offline methods, but I will mention them for the sake of completeness. The Sunday paper is probably your best bet in finding clip out coupons, but it is not the only one. You should check your local grocery store for coupon books that companies put out for free, and because Duracell is a P&G brand you have one more source to look in. That is the “P&G Brand Saver” book, which is also in most Sunday newspapers.
For online sources, there are a variety of good websites that you should often check to see if any Duracell coupons are active. Those are (in no particular order): Retail Me Not, Savings.com, Coupons.com, the P&G website, the P&G Facebook page and any other misc coupon sites / blogs that may be informed of Duracell coupons. Happy saving to you!
